Vintage Gemstone Sputnik Earrings 6.78ct t.w. 1960's Multi-Gemstone Clip Earrings 18k Yellow Gold

The ever so rare pair of multi-gem sputnik earrings from the 1960's, get these today! They are the larger size, not the usual 15mm size, but a grand 19.37mm diameter! 18k yellow gold, aquamarine beryl, almandite garnet, peridot, tourmaline, amethyst quartz, indicolite tourmaline, and citrine quartz “Sputnik” earrings, of cast construction, circa mid-20th century. Each earring measures 19.37 mm in diameter and comprises a round mounting bezel-set throughout with a total of nineteen round mixed cut gemstones, on a clip back. Conversion to pierced can be for by my trusted jeweler for a flat $150 fee, just ask! All of the gemstones are eye clean and display an average of 50% brilliance. The eight aquamarines measure from 3.60 to 4.47 mm in diameter, weigh from approximately 0.15 to 0.29 carat each, and have an approximate total weight of 1.48 carats. The remaining gemstones all measure an approximate average of 3.60 mm in diameter and have the following numbers, colors, and weights: almandite garnet: six, R2O90/20% Gray Mask, 0.23 carat each; peridot, two, Y2G50/10% Gray Mask, 0.19 carat each; tourmaline, eight, P2R30/10% Gray Mask to P2R50/10% Gray Mask, 0.17 carat each; amethyst: four, B2P20-40, 0.15 carat each; indicolite, two, G2B80/30% Gray Mask and G2B40/10% Gray Mask, 0.17 carat each; tourmaline, two, Y2G80/30% Gray Mask, 0.17 carat each; citrine, six, O50/10% Brown Mask, 0.15 carat each. Approximate total gem weight: 6.78 carats. The earrings are stamped “18K.” Total weight: 7.1 grams. Extremely rare to find in such perfect condition!
