Perfect 1.98ct t.w. Vintage Old European Cushion Cut Diamond Filigree Engagement Ring Platinum

This ring has every artistic element one could hope for; sparkling pave set diamonds at every angle, crisp hand engraving work, a large near colorless chunky old European cut diamond, and an elegant basket setting to truly enhance this knockout diamond. This ring is one of my favorite acquisitions to date! This ring comprises a central old European cut diamond set in a four-prong basket mounting, each prong of which is bead-set with three round brilliant cut diamonds, on a flat hand engraved, milgrain adorned shank. The shoulders are bead-set with a total of eight round brilliant cut diamonds that weigh .005 to .02cts each, in addition to 12 round brilliant cut accent diamonds with comparable size and quality. Those diamonds have the quality range of G-H color, VS1-VS2 clarity and a total accent diamond carat weight of .30ct t.w.. The central diamond has the quality grade of H-I color, VS2 clarity, and measures approximately 7.23mm x 7.45mm x 5.09mm. That diamond weighs approximately 1.68cts but with the gorgeous low profile, it looks much larger! This magnificent ring has an approximate total carat weight of 1.98ct t.w..! Just say its 2 carats :)! This ring is stamped “PLAT”, weighs 3.2 grams, and was made sometime in the last 20 years. The central diamond was cut in the early 20th century though! So it has something old, something new, something you! This ring has the engraving design in an eternity style and is currently a finger size 4.75. My trusted jeweler can size this up or down four sizes with a smooth platinum section, just ask! This ring measures 7.25mm North to South, 7.44 East to West, and is raised 5.8mm off the finger.
