Edwardian Opal Diamond Brooch Pendant 1920's Antique 7.01ct t.w. Rose Cut Diamond Scalloped Statement Pin Necklace Platinum 14k Yellow Gold

This is a once in a lifetime piece from the early 1900's for someone who adores opals, Edwardian statement pieces, or was born in the month October! Don't miss out on this beautiful natural solid white opal and diamond pendant, of hand-made construction, circa early 20th century, with 14k yellow gold brooch converter. The pendant measures 1 1/8” x 1” and comprises a bezel-set solid and impressive white opal surrounded by 42 antique round rose cut diamonds, with an openwork scalloped frame with 30 round rose cut and single cut diamonds, with a hidden folding double bail, which also holds a 14k yellow gold pin converter. The opal displays pinfire play-of-color in green, orange, blue, and yellow, measures approximately 17.18 x 12.13 x 5.40 mm, and weighs approximately 6.29 carats. The opal is crazed throughout but like all opals, always be careful while wearing. It is still safely intact but do not put this in an ultrasonic machine and/or wear it daily. This is a very special heirloom to be pulled out a few times a year for those very special occasions. The 72 twinkling rose cut diamonds are SI1-SI2 in clarity, H-J in color, measure an approximate average of 1.30 mm in diameter, and weigh an approximate average of 0.01 carats each. Approximate total gem weight: 7.01 carats. The pendant is unmarked but has been entirely tested and guaranteed to be platinum over 14k yellow gold. Total weight: 8.4 grams. This piece will look incredible on a double strand of pearls, a heavy platinum or gold chain, on a blazer, fur coat, with so many elegant ways to style it.
