Up for sale is this extraordinary vintage (circa 1960's) 18k yellow gold, platinum, citrine, aquamarine, pink and green tourmaline, prasiolite, amethyst and diamond bracelet, of cast and assembled construction. The bracelet measures 12mm wide approximately by 6 ½” long (will fit a 6.25" inch wrist or smaller comfortably) and comprises six glimmering emerald cut gemstones set in individual four-prong basket mountings, between which are platinum, ribbon-motif mountings each bead- and prong-set with seventeen single cut diamonds, terminating in a hidden box clasp with figure-eight safety catch. The six gemstones have the following clarity, color, brilliance, approximate measurements, and approximate weights: 1) citrine, 11.41 x 9.38 x (5.63) mm, 4.31 cts; 2) aquamarine, 10.99 x 9.10 x 6.44 mm, 4.73 cts; 3) tourmaline, 11.06 x 9.03 x 5.16 mm, 4.26 cts; 4) pink tourmaline, 11.17 x 9.23 x 5.45 mm, 4.64 cts; 5) prasiolite, 11.07 x 8.94 x 6.05 mm, 4.28 cts; 6) amethyst, 11.13 x 9.03 x 5.92 mm, 4.26 cts. The one hundred two (102) diamonds are VS2-SI2 in clarity, G-I in color, measure an approximate average of 1.65 mm in diameter, and weigh approximately .02 carats each (total diamond weight approximately 2.04cts!) and has 26.48ct t.w. of emerald cut semi-precious gems! Appraisals
Jewelry Finds' pieces are independently appraised by highly-experienced, professional GIA-trained Gemologists. They are appraised as accurately as possible in the mountings so as not to affect the integrity of the pieces. The appraisals are for our use only but the pertinent facts are in our listings. We are no longer sending insurance appraisals after the sale due to some insurance companies demanding they come straight from the appraiser/not the seller.
Jewelry Era is approximate unless we have purchased from an original owner, or it has been established from our research. Time period is determined by jewelry design, construction, hallmarks (if any) and materials used - part of the intriguing mystery of antique and estate jewelry.
